One of Jess’ many roles is that of a Balanced Body-certified Comprehensive Pilates instructor. They completed their 500 hours of practice and training for that certification in 2022 and have been teaching Pilates and mindful movement practices since 2019. Pilates is not a job; it’s a passion. Having struggled with weight, body dysphoria and mental health issues throughout their life, Jess always found balance and solace in physical activity. After exploring various fitness modalities, they found Pilates to be a perfect fit to improve their overall quality of life. Inspired by great instructors along the way, Jess decided to get certified so they could share the joy of wellness with others who might not see the value of self-care. Jess has seen firsthand that when a person feels good in their body, they can do more good in their communities.
